I am a freelance website designer & programmer based in Newquay, Cornwall in the beautiful Southwest of England. I design and build websites that not only look visually stunning but that also work hard for you and your business – and guess what – it doesn’t have to cost the earth!
All my sites are hand-coded and optimized for search engines. I pay special attention to the fine detail ensuring that your site will be future-proof, cross-browser compatible and work across many media types (ie. iphone, mobile, ipad).
I especially like building client editable websites, these are powered by what is known as a Content Management System. WordPress is my favourite tool when building content managed websites. I’ve loads of examples in my portfolio.

International Recruitment Consultancy
I love to work with Cornish businesses. The vast majority of the work I do is for businesses and individuals based in Cornwall – however, occasionally a job lands on my desk for a company based outside of the Southwest. I was recently commissioned to develop & build the new website for an expert recruitment to recruitment firm based in Mayfair, London. The new site integrates with the client’s job listing management software enabling the site to display a feed of all the current vacancies on offer. There’s also a job search facility and more…
Klood – Social Media Management
Following on from the success of social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook a new breed of business is emerging “Social media management”. Klood, a product of this new trend, will handle all of your social networking concerns on your behalf.
I built the new website for Klood. The website incorporates a Twitter and Flickr feed, Facebook stream and blog. Collaborative Thought of Falmouth in Cornwall took care of the visual designs and handed them over to me to create the live website.
The Courtyard Boutique – Truro
Cornwall based The Courtyard Boutique is an online shopping destination with a touch of class. They sell stylish gifts, gadgets and homeware items. The blog design was refreshed for 2012 bringing in to line with it’s main shopping site. Thankfully the blog was already running on WordPress and so my task here was simply to create a new theme using the designs provided by Cornish design agency Collaborative Thought. All the website’s existing blog articles and archived content integrated seamlessly with the new layout.
Make – St Austell
I was commissioned to build a fully content managed website for a series of “Make” events planned for 2011/12. The website first promoted the “Make” Christmas Fair held at Market House, St Austell in Cornwall in Novemer 2011. The site I built is a simple template that can be tweaked and then reused over again in a new guise. Within a few easy clicks the client is able to change the entire site’s background and font colours. They can then add new content in preperation for their next show. Easy peasy…

Now with new code in place quiksilversurfschoolnewquay.com can be certain that no potential business slips through the net due to an unreliable user experience. An ipad, tablet, iphone & smartphone friendly website. All made possible with “web standards”
